Stucco

Stucco

Stucco is a beautiful, classic exterior finish that can last for decades with proper care. Unfortunately, stucco is sometimes improperly sealed against water infiltration, leading to moisture damage that will rot the frame of your house and cause mold problems inside your home. When this happens, it is important to hire a professional stucco repair company like Stone Age Renovations Inc., who know how to maintain and care for your home.

If you're in need of stucco repair or installation, the most important thing is the skill level of your stucco contractor. Hiring a contractor who is not experienced with stucco work could lead to further water damage and more structural issues in your home. A professional contractor like Stone Age Renovations Inc. will ensure that you do not have any moisture or mold problems after the installation or repair job has been completed.

Stucco is a porous material, and the older it gets the more likely it will crack. This can lead to problems with water infiltration, which leads to mold and structural issues. To avoid these problems from happening in your home or building, make sure that you hire a professional contractor who knows how to maintain stucco.

Our contractors are trained and experienced with all forms of stucco including EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems), one coat, and three coat stucco. We offer a wide variety of stucco services for residential and commercial buildings in Los Angeles and Orange County.

EIFS

Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems stucco is a fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) material that works like rebar to hold the concrete together. It is often used for exterior insulation and finishing systems, and we highly recommend that you hire a professional contractor for EIFS installation.

Basically EIFS are foam blocks coated with stucco applied to your building exterior. EIFS can provide insulation for your home without taking up precious square footage inside. With the rising costs of living in California, it should be pretty obvious how valuable saving square footage can be!

Three Coat Stucco

This is the original, your granddaddy's stucco. It is a multi step process that uses three coats of stucco, as you probably guessed by its name. The primary advantage of three coat stucco is strength and durability. It holds up better to wear and tear. The main disadvantage is that its three coats. That means more time and money to finish it.

One Coat Stucco

One coat is a newer process that combines the multiple stucco coats into one. This saves time and money, while sacrificing some level of durability. One coat stucco also incorporates a layer of insulating foam, although its not exactly the same system as EIFS.
